Volleyball Girl

This year Addison decided to play volleyball. She is is doing really well and having lots of fun with her friends. (Sorry the pictures are so bad, I only had my phone with me)

Their first game was a little confusing for them, but all in all they all did a great job working as a team.
Here they are waiting to take the floor. They all look so excited don't they?
Here is some of their team and their coach, waiting to see who gets to go in next. They were so cute sitting on the sidelines cheering for each other and singing cute songs. Addison was REALLY worried about serving well and getting it over the net. Not only did she get it over the net, she even made a point! We were so proud of her. She did a great job! Now Hubby and I need to invest in some stadium chairs for our 10 year bleacher run. We are just beginning!

Kickin' it in the Rain

Since we live in a very rainy place many of our outdoor activities are done in the rain. That is because if we waited for it to stop raining we would never get anything done. So we have adapted the weather and you will always find every Washingtonian with many hooded coats, warm gloves, and large umbrellas.

Logan had his first soccer game last Saturday and of course it was raining. The boys didn't mind the rain, but Landon was not having the cold so we hid out in the van for most of the game. Hence the fence filled pics.
Logan had a great game and even scored the only two goals of the game. Here he is with one of his teammates, Brett. They have played on the same team since they were 4 and they are inseparable on the field.
Can you believe that this is 9am? It looks like dusk doesn't it? Welcome to the rain. Now you know why I go crazy in the winter with the gray skies. Poor Logan(in the orange) looks a little cold doesn't he?
We still had fun and even stopped for hot chocolate on the way home to get warmed up. Fall in Washington!

Boys of Summer

Yesterday was opening day for our little towns baseball league. Logan decided he wanted to play this year so we signed him up for coach pitch and away we went. Robb took him to the opening ceremonies that introduced all the teams and players. Logan has loved getting all new gear and being the center of attention for a while. Being the middle child he tends to get left out of things, so this has been great for him. Logan is in the middle in front of his coach Gina.

We all bundled up in our warmest coats and headed to the field for his first game. His team did great at his the ball really well. Logan cracked several off on the first pitch and took off.

His other teammates got him around to 3rd base, where Robb was the base coach. Here they are having a little Father/Son bonding time.

Here he is coming into home plate. Somehow I managed to catch him mid run so it looks like he is running on air. As fast as he is sometimes, I wonder if that is what he does.

At one point in the game he looked up at his Dad and said, "I am having so much fun!" That makes it all worth it in the end, because isn't that what kid's sports should be all about, FUN!

Little Sports Star!

This is my little sports guy, Logan. He is crazy about sports, any sports. Right now he is playing soccer and loving it. He is so focused on the field, for a munchkin his age. His wing man is his buddy Brett. Together they are unstoppable!

He is going right after that ball. Nothing stops him from getting in there and taking that ball down the field. He even got a goal today! We have a "ball" (no pun intended) cheering him on!

"Go! Logan!!" See what I mean, we have lots of fun cheering Logan on!

Soccer Season Begins

Addison and Logan are once again playing soccer this fall. They have both improved a lot over the last year and are having a blast playing with all their old teammates again.

Logan is again playing on the Sharks team and doing great. He is a goal scoring machine. He scored two goals on Saturday, one with his knee, and 5 last Monday. He is such a little speed demon. What he lacks in weight, he makes up for in speed.

Addison is really starting to figure out how to work her long legs. She is really getting aggressive and tousling with the boys for the ball. Her favorite thing is getting to be the goalie this year. It is a fun position to play.
