Got Kids?

Have you ever been goat shopping? Neither have I until yesterday. Logan and I set out with a friend from our goat club and we went goat shopping. I bought these two little carmel(this is the color) pygmy goats. One is a wether (fixed male) and the other is a doe. They are brother and sister, born last July. Their names are Sunna and Freyr (pronounced Frayer). They are the most adorable little munchkins. They are friendly and sweet.

This is Freyr, keeping a close eye on our dog Soley. They are not used to dogs, so we will have to take things slow.

Landon, of course, loves all of our animals and insists on being right in the middle of things. These two are just his size. The fun thing about pygmy goats is that they are so fun to be around. They love being around people and getting attention.

Here I am with Sunna, working on being on a leash. They need a little training, just like a puppy. We will be doing lots of walks down the road with them before show season starts.

Here is Addison with Freyr, giving him a few pets. From the look on his face, I think she found his sweet spot. (A sweet spot is the place you scratch them when in the show ring to calm them down and make them stand still)

Here is little Sunna. She is still a bit skittish, as this is a new home and surroundings. She is very good about coming up to us and loves to get attention.

On our shopping trip we stopped at another goat club members house and saw her newest little baby. He was for days old in these pictures. Logan was so excited to hold him. It made Logan excited to have Pearl (who happens to be at the breeder right now) have her babies some time this summer.
Isn't he the cutest little thing? Look at how his cute little ears curl up! He was adorable, jumping around and being frisky! Doesn't he look like a little Oreo cookie?

Oh, they are cute! More fun goats to play with. I was thinking about all the poop too... Poop from one dog is enough for us! Good luck with the training, you busy girl.

Their poop is small like rabbits. Not hard to deal with. The chickens are much worse.
