Playing Dolls

Since it was a dreary rainy day on Saturday, Addison and I decided to play dolls. One of our Mommy/Daughter things to do is to play with her American Girl dolls. Yes, I still play with dolls. They didn't have these when I was little and I would have played with them all the time. I remember playing American Girl dolls with our neighbor girls when I would babysit them, and it was so much fun.

They are so cute and fun! We comb their hair, have pretend tea parties and of course pretend we are cowgirls on Jackson the horse. Addison has Molly(from the 40's) and Nicki (doll of the year a few years ago). They come with wonderful stories about challenges the girls face and how they handle those challenges. It is such a great way to teach life lessons to a young girl.

Of all the toys I have bought my daughter over the years, these are by far the best quality. Every little detail is thought of with these dolls. They are spendy, but I have been more than impressed with the quality of every item.

It is a fun way to spend some time quality girl time together, because the boys aren't to excited to play dolls with us. They are more into monster trucks, and matchbox cars. That is for another time!

Now that's great mother daughter time spent!
Love the dolls AND the decor in the background. I've got an old trunk similar to that.
