Sun, Sand and Crazy Times

We made our annual Mother's Day trek to Ft. Stevens again this year. We had so much fun riding bikes, roasting marshmallows, playing games, and flying kites. We celebrated Mother's day and all of the May birthdays. My sister, Matthew, Logan and I all have our birthday in May.
We had a great time around the campfire cracking up about the goofiest things and laughing until our sides hurt. We all ate chili and fiber one bars most of the weekend, so you can imagine what a lot of our topic of conversation was.
The cousins had fun riding bikes around the campground and doing time trials with Uncle Jason on the playground. My girl kicked booty! Yeah, Addison.
The best part of the weekend was the weather. We had sunshine for most of the weekend and were tickled pink. You have to understand that sun is a rare commodity on Northwest beaches. You count your lucky stars when you see it.
It is a fun tradition that we have started and I am so thankful for the family and fun that we had this weekend. Til' next year!

Wow, what a great Mother's Day you had (along with all the birthday's). I haven't gone to Astoria in so long. I am hoping I can make it over during the summer. My girlfriend and I will sometimes go overnight for good food, antique shopping and relaxation! :)
