Marshmallow World

We got out of church on Sunday to find out it was snowing. It didn't stop until last night and now we have dipped into arctic temperatures around the farm. The goats are NOT in love with this weather, but the kids are. I have hardly seen them for they spent most of the daylight outside sledding. This kind of weather is very rare for us here in the northwest, but is always welcomed in at our house. We all love the snow.

Look at that smile, someone is extremely excited to get out and play in the snow. Landon loved it too, except he did not love wearing gloves and get pulling them off. Naughty boy.

Addison looks like she is decked out for a Land's End catalog shoot. She loves the snow as much as anyone. I think Montana would be a good choice for her.

Notice anything funny about this picture? Yes, Hubby is wearing a suit to play in the snow! Just kidding, he was just being dropped off from church (had to stay after) and I thought it was funny him runny to the house.

Soley especially loves the snow because the kids are out a lot and she has someone to play with. So for the next few days we are going to be hanging out drinking hot chocolate and eating homemade bread. I am a bit worried weather we are going to get to go over the hill and through the woods to Grandmother's house on Wednesday, but we will see. I may have to make a mad dash for a last minute turkey and fixings if we get stuck at home. Wish us luck. Hope you have a wonderful week of baking pies and being grateful for you blessings!

I luv those pics. The kids look so happy. Oh.. to be a kid again. I STILL remember snow days as a kid. We would build snow forts, and come in frozen to eat lunch by the fire with hot cocoa. No snow for us yet, unseasonably warm for us right now. That will change all too soon. So for now, we are enjoying the warmth, while you are enjoying your cold!

Your kids are certainly sonwo lovers. I am so glad we got out of there on Sunday and made it home before the temperature dropped below freezing.

Have fun and stay warm.
