Aaaaahhh, the lazy days of summer are the best. Their memories is what gets us through the long, cold and mostly dreary winter. We dream of warm air, hot dogs, good books, and bbq's, and when the day comes there is an electric sizzle in the air.For us we made on of those memories last week when we went up to the family cabin for the day. Robb took a rare day off from work and we packed a cooler and headed out for the day. The weather was suppose to be 95 that day and it was perfect for swimming.
We could not have asked for a more perfect day at the cabin. We swam, played in boats, napped and I even got a little reading in. There is nothing more relaxing that sitting on the dock with a good book.
Of course the cabin wouldn't be the same without the local ducks cruising around looking for a free handout. They love to come up on the bank and eat a bread crumb or two.
Landon even got in the water with us and had a blast. He also loves all the toys to play with. He is trying his hand at hula.
We even stayed late and had a fire with smores. Of course Addison could not stay out of the fire. I told her she would wet the bed if she played with the fire, but as you can see she didn't believe me. I am pretty sure Logan had about 74 marshmallows while we did smores. He promptly fell asleep as soon as we hit the road late that night. It was a great day of fun.
