Pearl is starting her last month of pregnancy. She is due on July 2 with triplets. This is her first set of babies, and our first pregnant doe. We hope everything goes OK and we have three healthy additions to our herd.
Having had kids myself, I feel bad for inflicting this kind of pain on her. She is such a sweet goat now and loves for me to massage her ever expanding belly. If I go out to the field she follows me around expecting the usual pets.
She waddles like a pregnant lady and looks for any excuse to lay down and rest. She even tries in vain to keep up with the rest of the heard. it is really funny to watch her try and run.
Poor thing looks like a giant sausage with a head. The day will be here soon. I will make sure and report the news when it comes.

Are having triplets normal for goats? Very excited for them to arrive!

Yes it is typical. I even read about some does have quads and quints too. Yikes.
