Super Easy Craft!

My Mom came across this simple idea for dressing up candles over at Remodeling This Life. It is so easy and quick. It only took me a few minutes to do. It think it took me longer to dig up my Mod Podge.

Here's what you need. A candle, new or used, Epsom salt, Mod Podge, sponge brush, shallow dish.

1. Pour Epsom Salts in a shallow dish.

2. Paint on a nice thick coat of Mod Podge.

4. Roll candle in salt until well coated. Shake off excess and let dry.

5. Place in your favorite place.

Tada! Here is the finished project! I love how it turned out. My husband said it looked good enough to eat! Sure, take a lick. (just a note: Don't burn the candle, because the heat causes the epsom salts to turn white and look like rock salt)

Here is the candle lit. Sorry it is so dark. My camera is in love with it's flash and refuses to cooperate in the dark, but you get the idea. Hope you have fun with it!

Very pretty. Just saw this done somewhere else last week & I've got it on my christmas decor list of to-do's.

What a cute idea! I'll have to see if I have some epsom salts and give this a try!

Beautiful! This reminds me of when Jolynn had me teach a homemaking class where we modpodged leaves onto candles. Easy and pretty!
