Fun Time at the Fair

Well, we survived the fair once again this year and had a much better year. Last year we only had three goats and didn't do very well. So over the year we worked on getting better goats and did so much better this year. It was also a lot more fun showing more goats. It is no fun to be in two classes and then sit for the rest of the day.

Here is Logan and Freyr in showmanship. I guess I caught him with his eyes closed. I hope he wasn't asleep because the class is based on how he shows the goats. We practiced a lot this year and the kids did so much better and got a lot more experience.
Here is Addison & Duke in their wether (a fixed male) class. Notice who is in front? One of the judges even told Addison he wanted to take Duke home with him. That is a pretty high compliment.

Rocket was bored and decided he wanted to see how the chair felt.

Here is the highlight of the weekend. Robb actually got into the ring and showed several goats. I had to take the kids out into the fair for rides, so he stayed behind and finished up our classes. I new it would be monumental and had a friend take several pictures. She had taken about 7 pictures before he looked up and figured out what she was doing! It was hilarious.

Here I am listening intently on what the judge was saying. It must have been something important from the look on my face.

Here is Addison with Sunna & Logan with Freyr in their first showmanship class. They did a good job and had worked hard in their practice sessions.

All in all we had a great, but very busy weekend. We were all pooped by the time we got home on Monday. Can't wait for next year.

Looks like it was lots of fun. The photo of Logan with his eyes closed it great, he looks like he is getting a little cat nap in.
Tell Robb he looks like a natural showing the goat.
