New Life

Since finding out that all my new chickens were roosters I decided to take the kids to the local feed store an pick out new chicks to start raising. We got two Americaunas (they lay green eggs), Buff Orpingtons, and Australorps. We have six total.

The kids decided that it was time for the babies to get out and get some fresh air, since we had a lucky rain free day. So they played with them and let them munch on the grass.

Landon couldn't keep his chubby little hands off of them. He was very good with them though, he just kept wanting to hold them.

Addison, my animal lover, of course was the mother hen making sure her brother's didn't hurt the babies. They were driving her "crazy"!

This is Logan with his chicken that he picked out all by himself. This is the first year he has even wanted to hold the chicks. He did a great job and loves his chicks.
Here they are enjoying the nice grass.

I love baby chicks! Looks like your house is a busy and fun place to be at right now!
