A Few of my Favorite Things!

OK, come on in for a little tour of what makes it Christmas around the Gardner house. Here is the front door...

Of course Santa has to have a way in, since we don't have a chimney. A magical key does the trick every time!

This is my favorite guy. I hate to put him away at the end of the season. One of these years I am going to keep him up for the whole year. Of course my kids will have to be older. I could just see Logan and Landon playing WWF with him one day in March! Yikes. Isn't he just the cutest thing you have ever seen. I found him at Costco a few years ago. He is so sweet and cheery. I just want to squeeze him. Oh, wait I do!

This canvas is new this year. My mom made this for her bazaar, and lucky for me it didn't sell. I love it! The angel used to adorn the top of our tree, and the snow globe is part of my collection.

This is in my entry. What else is Christmas for but to remember the Savior and his great sacrifice for all us to return to our Eternal home one day. This is one of my favorite pictures of the Savior.

This is where I put all our odd men out ornaments. They are homemade, gifts, and treasures. Each one has a story behind it, and isn't that what decorations are about?

This is my cute little cookie jar and a new tile I bought from my good friend Mona. Don't they go together like sugar cookies and milk?

This is what I look at when I cook dinner every night. The snowman hanging was given to us by my dear friend Tami many years ago, and it has adorned our home ever since. I am happy to report that thanks to technology and Facebook I have gotten in touch with her and resumed our friendship through cyberspace! So much fun!

This is another one of my snow globes. I just love them. They light up and play music. They are one of our families favorites when the decorations come out.

Aaaahh, Christmas stories! What is better in this world than Christmas Stories? We get a new one each year and read them throughout the Christmas season. Can you ever have too many Christmas stories? I think not!

Last but not least is my Nativity snow globe. What is Christmas without a nativity. I also have two nativities, but I could not get a good picture of it, so this will have to do. This too is part of the snow globe collection. In fact, this is the first one. I just love how Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus are so peaceful inside their silent world.

I hope you enjoyed the tour. Send me your links so I can take a tour of your home. I always love to see what Christmas means to others.

Merry Christmas!

Your decorations are all beautiful! I have to agree that santa looks so huggable. That key is so sweet.. what a great idea to give Santa his own way in.

Question? I LURV the vinyl on the front door, but how do you get that off after Christmas?

Awwwwwwwe! I was just quickly looking at the pictures so I could come back and read later. When I saw the little wall hanging I thought "I think I made that". Sure enough. I am honored to have a piece of me hanging above your stove! AND, what would I do without Facebook. So glad we found each other again.

Oh, and I have that same WWF santa from Costco. He's my fav tool

Love you,
Tami
