Make a Difference Day

Posted by Picasa

October 24th was National Make a Difference Day and we got together at our little school and planted the flowerbeds in the front. We live in a very small town and the school was remodeled last year, but there was not money for landscaping. So with a little help from my hubby's company Modern Woodmen we were able to help donate money for plants. Then we gathered to volunteer our time to plant all sorts of plants. It was hard work, but well worth it. The plants look great and it was lots of fun getting to know other parents in the community.

How nice! What a valuable lesson for the children as well, to work together for the common good of their school!
