I have been searching for a dresser for Landon for a while now. I have been using a tiny, and I mean tiny little dresser for the past year and a half. It is a nightmare because Landon has been given more clothes than he can possible wear. The tiny dresser had served it purpose, but had to go.
I didn't want to spend very much money so I thought about garage sales. A friend of mine was having one and said she had two dressers for sale. Bingo! it was cheap and solid wood. I decided to sand that sucker down, paint it and get new knobs and handles. It took a bit of sanding, but wasn't too bad. I was able to get it done in one day(with breaks because my back has been out and I couldn't work like I normally do).

I LOVE RED! Great job Maria..that looks fabulous. Looks like it just came out of an expensive show room. Gotta love that.

GREAT job...not only did you save a lot of money...but you did it yourself! You should be tickled pink....errrr...RED!
Nothing like an old solid wood dresser. That will last you guys forever and it looks GREAT!! Maybe I should have you come up here and help me with my kids' rooms!
Very nice! I also love red.
that is a great after dresser! I like red too.
It looks great--I love the red! I've just started painting furniture, too, and it is so amazing to me how clean and crisp "old" things look after a fresh coat of paint. I don't think I can ever buy "new" again!
Here from DIY Day--thanks for sharing!
That came out great! Nice job
GREAT shade of red for a little boy. And you have to love a bargain that costs less than the knobs to finish it. You did a great job.
Great job, I love the red!
Great dresser transformation, I love the red and the knobs are fabulous! You did a wonderful job! Bravo!
