Sometimes I enjoy a nice cup of herbal tea. I am not sure why, it is just soothing. I am also a big hot chocolate lover, but only in the winter time. Nothing is better on a cold morning than hot chocolate. I just thought this was funny...
This more the feeling I usually go for when I decide to have a cup of tea. This is from the lovely blog The Painted Garden. Isn't it a lovely scene. I want to grab a book and head outside.
So the kids decided that they want to have a "real" tea party. I warned them that they would probably not like it, but they were undaunted in their quest. So I put on the kettle, got out the cream and honey. Addison brought out her sweet little tea set. They have had hours of fun with that little set pretenting to have tea. Not really knowing anything about the real thing.
The kind I have right not is Tangerine Orange Zinger, and it is yummy. With cream and honey it tastes like a little desert in a cup.
Addison was very very excited to try it, and she really really wanted to like it, but in the end the answer I got was, "It wasn't what I expected!" With that she was out the door and on to a new quest. I guess this tea thing can just be my thing. Like bubble baths with candles it is now "my" thing.Logan on the other had said,"Bleck!!!!! That is gross!!! I don't want anymore!!!!" Remind me never to take that kid to England. I am sure he would be booted out of the country for offending every English citizen! Some things are just meant to be for mommy!

Silly kids! They won't appreciate quiet little times with some soothing tea until they have kids of their own. Right now it is Kool-Aid all the way.
What a sweet attempt though. I'm sure someday they will enjoy the memory. I can just hear it now, "Remember when you made that yucky herbal tea, that was so much fun."
Stopping by from SITS...
I love the blog! My husband grew up in Iowa and moved back to MI when he was 12 but still wants to move back to Iowa sometime.
The tea set is adorable!
I never liked tea when I was a kid...now I can't get enough of it. I drink hot cocoa in the winter too!
Take care!

LOL, girl, if tea does that to ya, leave it alone and stick to the hot chocolate. That's pretty funny.
Orange zinger sounds yum. I'll have to keep an eye open for that.
And how totally sweet of those babies of yours. I didn't like tea much as a child either, unless......tons of sugar was added.
I love tea.. but I go through phases. I usually drink it more in the cooler months. But I LOVE Ice tea year round!!
