Did a Craft!

Ok, I am very very excited because I got to do a craft. I saw a very cute idea on one of my new favorite sites Just a Girl. I went to the craft store, this is big for me because I have not been to the craft store in over a year! With a new baby, home school, and a hubby that works from home crafts have been out the door because me days are busy with:
1. Dishes
2. Laundry
3. Dishes
4. Feeding Animals
5. Dishes
6. Schooling
7. Dishes
8. Cooking
9. Dishes
10.Did I mention dishes!
So from my to do list you can understand why I am sooooo excited about this. I felt like a kid in a candy shop when I was walking through the isles of Michael's Craft Store. I really could have spent hundreds of dollars, but walked away only spending $13.00 not bad for someone with crafting withdrawals.
One with the craft idea. Tile coasters! yes I am starting back into the craft world small here. You buy tiles from your local hardware store. I found mine at Home Depot. I bought a special stamp pad called Staz On. (Make sure you buy the cleaning solution as these are special stamp pads and can't be cleaned with just water.)I had the stamp in my own collection, but you can find a stamp that you like.

It is so easy, you just stamp the tiles, let them dry thoroughly, and place felt on the back. I painted the sides of my tiles black to blend in a bit. These would make great gifts, and you can tie them with a cute ribbon and make a tag to go with them. I am going to be making more of these for Christmas gifts this year!

I did not tie any ribbon on mine because I am keeping this set for myself! Yippee! Looking at everyone's blogs has inspired me so much. There are so many wonderful women out there that are so talented and inspirational! Thanks everyone for getting me excited about crafts again!

Those are really great. maybe we need to look at each other's stamp collections. I love that stamp. So a great tip for cheap tile is salvage shops, there are a couple I know of that are really great in oly.

Oh, those turned out so cute. That might be a good project for you to do for the bazaar.
